How Spray Foam Insulation Lincoln Handles a Job
Spray Foam Insulation Lincoln insulates and air seals houses, acreage homes, garages, shops and metal buildings in Lincoln and the towns around it. We spray open-cell and closed-cell foam, blow cellulose or fiberglass into attics and wall cavities, and take out old insulation that is wet, dirty or in the way of a proper air seal.
Every job starts with a visit. We go into the attic, the basement or crawl space, and any garage, bonus room or outbuilding you want done. We measure what insulation is there now and judge its condition. We look for the openings that cost a Nebraska house the most: plumbing and flue chases, open wall tops, recessed lights, the attic hatch, and the rim joist that sits on the foundation all the way around the house. We also point out things new insulation should never cover up: roof leaks, damp framing, rodent trails, knob-and-tube wiring or old vermiculite.
Then we tell you what we would do and why. Spray foam is not the right answer for every surface. On an open attic floor, foam-sealing the leaks and then blowing loose fill to depth usually costs less and works well. On rim joists, basement walls, steel buildings and roof decks with no attic, foam tends to be the right tool. When two approaches would both work, the quote lists both.
How we work
- Look first. Nothing gets priced until we have measured and seen the space.
- Write it down. Each area on the quote shows the material, depth or thickness, target R-value and price.
- Seal, then insulate. Air leaks are closed before new insulation buries them.
- Protect the house. Floors and belongings are covered, the work area is closed off, and foam areas stay vented until it cures.
- Explain rebates honestly. If your home might fit the LES sealing and insulation incentive or a state energy loan, we say so and show you the program rules. We never promise money a program has not approved.
- Agree before changes. Work starts after you approve the quote, and any change is agreed in writing first.
Who calls us
Owners of older Lincoln houses with cold bedrooms and hot upstairs rooms. Families finishing a basement who want the rim joist and walls done before framing. Acreage owners with a shop or pole barn that drips in winter. Buyers whose inspection turned up thin attic insulation. People in newer subdivisions who want a bonus room over the garage to stop swinging 15 degrees from the rest of the house.
