A Railroad Village Just Over the County Line
Spray Foam Insulation in Eagle reaches into southwest Cass County. Eagle was platted in 1886 when the Missouri Pacific Railroad was extended to the site, and an early name for the place was Sunlight. The old rail line is now the MoPac Trail, and Eagle sits exactly 10 miles from the trail's 84th Street trailhead in Lincoln. The village had 418 housing units in 2010 and 1,065 residents in 2020.
Older and newer
Eagle has both older homes from its railroad decades and newer houses built as Lincoln commuters moved out. Students attend Waverly School District 145, which ties the village to the growth north and west of it. Each kind of house needs something different: older homes need walls and attics, newer ones need the rim joist, bonus rooms and finished basements done right.
Typical older-home plan
We start in the attic, sealing the open wall tops and penetrations, then blow insulation to depth. If the exterior walls are hollow, we fill them with dense-pack cellulose. In the basement, closed-cell foam on the rim joist seals the perimeter.
Typical newer-home plan
Newer houses usually need targeted fixes: the room over the garage, a cold floor over a cantilever, a basement about to be finished. Nebraska's 2018 IECC, adopted statewide in 2020, gives the baseline for any new work: R-49 ceilings, R-20 walls and R-19 cavity or R-15 continuous on basement walls.
Shops along US 34
Eagle Raceway is two miles east on US 34, and the land around the village holds acreages with shops and barns. Closed-cell foam on steel buildings stops dripping and makes them practical to heat.

Eagle Questions
Do you work in Eagle even though it is in Cass County?
Yes. Eagle and the acreages around it are part of our regular area.
What should I insulate first in an older Eagle house?
The attic, with air sealing first. Then check the walls and the rim joist. That order usually gives the biggest comfort gain for the money.
Can spray foam go in a detached garage?
Yes. Closed-cell foam on walls and roof makes a detached garage or shop easier to heat and stops condensation on steel.
